Overview

The Summit is a daylong learning and networking event for everyone. Business, municipal, community and state leaders come together at this event  to focus on the long-term health of Southern Vermont’s economy.  

The Summit starts with a Connectivity Breakfast for town leaders, with a legislative update on new resources for communities, and a conversation with state officials and providers. The day features a Keynote speaker, 12 workshops, the annual SoVermont Emerging Leader’s Awards, and celebration of the 2019 Vital Projects of the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategies. There are networking opportunities throughout the day.

This year's has more content than ever focused on creating thriving communities, including a special session featuring Angela Evancie, Host of VPR's Brave Little State, and a workshop on "What Makes for a Resilient Community?" with Katie Stuart-Buckley Director of Development, M&S Development and former Commissioner of VT Department of Housing and Community Development.
