The City of Concord is seeking a dynamic leader to become its next Code Administrator. The Code Administrator directs the operations of the Code Administration Division, including building construction and safety; public health and sanitation; zoning and land use; housing safety; and business, entertainment, and event licensing. The position oversees a team of 12 which includes inspectors, administrators and support staff. The Code Administrator reports directly to the Deputy City Manager.
The ideal candidate must be able to work effectively with people from all backgrounds; believe in continuous service delivery improvement and be able to demonstrate pragmatic leadership.
A working familiarity with the application of municipal regulations such as building, fire, health, housing and zoning codes is essential.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in civil or structural engineering, planning, public administration, business administration or a related field; and, six or more years of progressively responsible experience; or,
Any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid New Hampshire Driver's License
HOURS: Full Time, Exempt
