The Central Vermont Regional Planning Commission (CVRPC) seeks an adaptable, self-motivated Assistant Planner or Planner to work with our team of dedicated professionals. Apply to join our team if you enjoy leveraging the power of people working together and helping others achieve their goals.
This position requires broad knowledge of municipal and regional planning and plan implementation techniques. The successful candidate will enjoy working in multiple subject areas and on special projects. All candidates should be highly creative with a passion for the planning profession and a desire to work with volunteer boards in urban and rural communities.
Successful candidates will have a degree in planning or a related field and a minimum of one year (Assistant Planner) or 3 years (Planner) experience in regional or local planning. Excellent oral and written communication skills and experience using Microsoft products required. Attendance at evening meetings required. Experience with zoning regulations or developing climate change adaptation strategies preferred.
CVRPC is the regional planning commission serving a 23-town area in Vermont's Capitol Region. Our mission is to assist towns to provide effective local government and to work collaboratively with them to address regional issues.
