The Town of Conway is seeking a Planning Director. The Director is the staff advisor to the Planning Board and Zoning Board of Adjustment. This requires attendance at all meetings of these Boards. Specific duties include developing, revising and implementing land use, transportation, capital facility, and other relevant plans; writing and revising regulations and ordinances; proposing ordinances that align with the Town’s Master plan, ensuring compliance of Town and use regulations with State and Federal codes; providing technical review of applications to the Planning Board, to include subdivisions/site plans and recommend appropriate actions to the Boards, and other advisory actions as may be advisory actions as may be appropriate. The Town Planner shall review all commercial and multi-family dwelling building permit applications to determine the appropriate required review in accordance with the Town’s Site Plan Regulation. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Planning and at least two years of work experience in planning or a related field. American Institute of Certified Planners certification is strongly recommended.
