GrowSmart Maine has added new Community Guides to their continuing series of Community Guides, to help communities understand some of the issues around managing sustainable growth, and provide techniques and resources to help towns plan the community they want.

The Kennebec Broadband Partnership, a program of GrowSmart Maine, has created a new Community Guide to Broadband.The guide is an easy-to-read two-pager that includes definitions of common broadband terms, resources to find digital literacy classes, where to find affordable devices in Maine, an explanation of digital equity, and how broadband planning fits into town infrastructure planning.

And the Brownfields in Maine Community Guide has just been released! Discover essential steps in brownfield redevelopment, the impact of brownfields on communities, sustainable practices, funding opportunities, and success stories from Maine. Download the guide and begin turning underutilized spaces into vibrant community assets.

Additional Community Guides are available on housing, Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs), protecting farmland, and an understanding of “What is Sprawl?”.
