The MAP Spring Conference saw about 70 attendees at the Pub at Baxter in Lewiston. The program kicked off with legislative updates from Judy East, Director of the Maine Bureau of Resource Information and Land Use Planning, and Eli Rubin, a community planner with South Portland and MAP’s Legislative Policy Committee co-chair. The program continued to include three sessions covering the Maine Redevelopment Land Bank Authority, communication strategies for climate change, and the grassroots efforts around developing a Maine Zoning Atlas. And there were two walking tours were offered showcasing the amazing work happening in Lewiston and in Auburn. Finally, the spring conference would not be complete without presenting our annual awards. Congratulations to the award winners doing excellent work in Maine!
