Housing Our Communities: A Strong Towns Perspective
A Free Presentation By Strong Towns Founder & President Chuck Marohn
Often as towns and cities work to address planning and development issues, the fear of change can inhibit acceptance of new ideas. Strong Towns founder and president Chuck Marohn will discuss the Strong Towns perspective on city and town development, and what our communities should keep in mind.
He will have a special focus on connecting economic resilience, citizen involvement, wise land use with housing availability and affordability.
Charles Marohn founded Strong Towns in 2008 to support a model of development that encourages America's cities, towns and neighborhoods to become financially strong and resilient. A Professional Engineer and a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), Marohn has presented Strong Towns concepts across North America and in 2017 was named one of the 10 Most Influential Urbanists of all time by Planetizen.
