Maine COMMISSION TO INCREASE HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES IN MAINE BY STUDYING ZONING AND LAND USE RESTRICTIONS
The Maine Legislature, in resolve 2021 c. 59, created a state Commission on how zoning ordinances may limit housing production. The Commission issued a report in December 2021, and it was followed by LD2003, the statewide housing and zoning bill.
NNECAPA engages in policy and legislative activity primarily through its three state Sections. The Chapter supports its Sections by:
- Facilitating the sharing of information among members across all three states;
- Connecting members with resources provided by APA; and
- Providing information to members about planning-related policies, programs, legislation and judicial decisions at the federal level.
